Micro Four Thirds Vs Full Frame Timelapse Comparison
I was a huge advocate of the micro four thirds system for quite a while, in fact i did most of my travels using the GH5, G9 and GX80 with a whole range of small, compact lenses.
During that period of time i also created many time-lapse videos and found the M4/3 format to be an ideal option. I still have my micro four thirds gear and use it fairly often, especially if i need to travel light.
However, i had an increasing temptation to get back in to full frame photography when the Lumix S1 was released and even more so when Canon finally woke up from their slumber and released their R series of cameras.
I managed to acquire an R6 earlier in 2021 despite the chip shortage and covid restrictions. So while in lock down i thought i’d see what the actual difference is in terms of sensor quality between a micro four thirds and full frame set up.
As the GH5 and R6 both have 20 megapixel sensors i thought it would be an interesting comparison between the two cameras.
