Nyerere National Park in Tanzania
On a recent trip to Africa i had the opportunity to use a $12,000 lens. The big white Canon RF400 f/2.8.
The RF400mm is simply an amazing lens and when paired with the Canon R5 the 45mp sensor really shines. The power and accuracy of this lens and camera combination is amongst the best on the market at the moment.
The animal eye detection and auto focus tracking within the R5 is on the most part accurate enough to justify and major upgrade from a 6D MK1-2, 5D MK1-4 or from a 1DX MK1-3.

This is the story of my 4 day safari trip to the Nyerere National Park in Tanzania. I was able to put this lens and camera combination through its paces over three game drives. I personally could have stayed out in the wilderness for weeks with this quality of gear at my fingertips. It’s heavy and fairly high maintenance but definitely worth the extra effort for the results.
