Panasonic Lumix S1 with S24-105mm F/4
This is my recent work with the Panasonic Lumix S1 Full Frame Mirrorless camera paired with the 24-105 f/4 lens.
This particular lens is a bit of a workhorse, a jack of all trades and master of none. It does make for a very useful travel lens with 105mm focal length and constant aperture of f/4. The extra reach of the 105mm came in handy on many occasions but the compromise is always the f/4 in lower light situations.
The S1 on the other hand makes up for that with good lower light performance with a 24mp CMOS sensor.
The S1 is such a tough machine. Built like a tank and easy to operate. The weather sealing on both the camera body and lens means less worry about dirt, dust and rain drops. The image sensor however, is badly exposed when changing lenses so expect some sensor dust issues.
For me the main plus is the extensive feature set of the camera and the ability to customise the controls.
